Coinwaltz is a trading name of ANAS Verkoop, a sole proprietorship registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK number 92011136, with its registered office at Suze Groenewegstraat 34, 2286JG Rijswijk, the Netherlands. Coinwaltz is the controller of the personal data described on this page.
We take the handling of your personal data seriously and we process it in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch privacy legislation. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. If anything here is unclear, write to info@coinwaltz.com and we will explain it in plain language.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Data you give us
When you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us, you provide details such as:

Delivery address and billing address
Email address
Phone number
Order details and order history
Payment status information passed on by our payment provider
The content of any message you send us
Data collected automatically
When you visit www.coinwaltz.com, our systems and those of our hosting and shop platform record technical data, for example:
Browser type and version
Operating system
The page you visited before ours
IP address of the device used
Date and time of the request
Pages viewed on our site
This technical data is used to keep the site running, to prevent misuse and to understand in general terms how the shop is used. We do not use it to build a personal profile of you.
WHY WE USE YOUR DATA AND ON WHAT BASIS
To process and deliver your order, to send order confirmations and shipping updates, and to handle returns and refunds. Legal basis: performance of the agreement with you.
To answer questions sent by email or phone. Legal basis: performance of the agreement or our legitimate interest in providing customer service.
To meet legal obligations, including tax and accounting rules that require us to keep invoice data. Legal basis: legal obligation.
To send our newsletter, if you have signed up for it. Legal basis: your consent.
To keep the website secure and working properly and to improve our shop and product range. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH
We share your data only with parties that help us run the shop, and only with what they need to do their part:
Our shop platform and hosting provider, which stores order and account data.
Payment providers, which handle your payment and confirm to us whether it succeeded. We never receive or store your full card details.
Carriers and fulfilment partners in Germany and France, which receive your name, address, phone number and email so your parcel can be delivered.
Email and newsletter services used to send order and marketing messages.
Our accountant and, where legally required, tax or supervisory authorities.
Where a partner processes data on our behalf, we have a processing agreement in place. If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we make sure an appropriate safeguard applies, such as the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
Order and invoice data is kept for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to close it, we delete what we are not legally required to keep.
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Emails and support messages are kept for up to two years so we can look back at earlier contact.
Technical log data is kept for a short period and then deleted or anonymised.
COOKIES
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember things such as what is in your basket, your language choice and whether you are logged in.
We use the following categories:
Necessary cookies. These make the shop work, keep your basket filled and secure the checkout. They cannot be switched off.
Functional cookies. These remember your preferences so you do not have to set them again.
Analytics cookies. These help us see, in aggregate, which pages are visited and where visitors run into problems.
Marketing cookies. These may be used to show relevant advertising on other websites and to measure whether a campaign worked.
Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed if you agree to them through the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings on our site, and you can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the shop from working.
NEWSLETTER
You can sign up for our newsletter with your email address. We use it to send product news, offers and occasional tips. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@coinwaltz.com. Unsubscribing has no effect on order emails, which we still need to send.
SECURITY
Our website runs over a secure connection and payments are handled through certified payment providers. Access to customer data is limited to what is needed to run the shop. No system is completely secure, but if a data breach were to affect your rights, we would inform you and the Dutch Data Protection Authority as required by law.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
Have incorrect data corrected.
Have your data deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Restrict or object to processing.
Receive your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent you have given, for example for the newsletter or for cookies.
Send your request to info@coinwaltz.com. We respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity so we do not release data to the wrong person.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
CHILDREN
Our shop is aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy when our shop, our partners or the law changes. The version published on www.coinwaltz.com is always the one that applies.
